Two-Session June 26 Program to Teach Useful Skills and Discussion on Strategies

For the final program before summer hiatus on Friday, June 26 from 12:00 noon - 4:30 pm, we've combined two compelling topics to help communicators navigate a more complex world. We as communicators are in the perfect position to help others understand events and circumstances. But first we might need to brush up on some of our own skills and potentially develop new ones. The good news is that what we love to do—reading and research—is one of the keys to analyzing companies. However, we need to gain a good understanding of what key company and industry financials mean before researching. Attend June’s program to gain practical tools you can use immediately.

Program includes lunch from 12:00 noon - 12:45 pm

Join us at: The Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing, 275 South High Street, Room 561, Akron, Ohio 44308

Session 1: How to Analyze Your Company...or Any Company

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Presenter: Dr. Steve Hallam, Professor of Management, College of Business Administration, The University of Akron

Communicators sometimes get the reputation of being professionals with great skills, except we don’t “know" the business or industry. Attend How to Analyze Your Company--or Any Company and learn some vital analysis tools that you can use to understand more about your organization's performance.

Audiences who could benefit from this presentation include:
* Human Resources practitioners
* Internal communicators
* External communicators
* Brand managers
* Marketing communicators

The session will be led by Dr. Steve Hallam, Professor of Management who teaches at The University of Akron College of Business Administration. Dr. Hallam has more than 40 years of experience teaching a variety of business topics. Any business communicator would benefit from learning the skills Dr. Hallam will teach. Handouts will be available.
