About IABC Northeast Ohio
Please note, the chapter is inactive. If you are interested in maintaining a local IABC chapter and wish to assume a volunteer leadership role, please contact Mary Bogan, Heritage Region chair, at mbogan1@woh.rr.com. The Heritage Region and the international office have resources available to help with revitalization should you choose to do so.
The Northeast Ohio chapter treasury is being transferred to the Heritage Region Board, which will hold it in a separate bank account for two years in case the chapter re-activates.
IABC Northeast Ohio (IABC NEO) is the chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) serving Cleveland, Akron and the business community of Northeast Ohio. As the local area chapter, we offer learning and networking opportunities each month to help Northeast Ohio communications pros continue to grow and succeed, exchange ideas, find career opportunities, and hone skills.
A History of Excellence
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) recognized its Cleveland Chapter for professional development activities and outstanding chapter management in 2010.
In 2009, IABC NEO received an award of excellence for its work in the student involvement category and an award of merit in the membership marketing category.
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) was founded in 1970 as a merger between the American Association of Industrial Editors and the International Council of Industrial Editors. The local Cleveland chapter was actually chartered in 1934.
